four-cylinder in-line engine. Cast iron engine block and cylinder head. two valves per cylinder. The camshaft is located at the bottom of the block. The valves are sited on side of the cylinders.

Comments:
The side valve engine does not have an official name, but is often referred to as "Eifel" because it was first launched in Germany in 1935 in the Ford model with this name.
